How do I get started?

Create a free account and add your first application with the company, role, and where you found it. From there you can move it through the board, attach a resume, and set a follow-up date. No card required.

What should I fill in first?

Your career profile. It holds your experience, skills, and target role, and every AI tool on the platform reads from it. Fill it in once and you stop re-pasting the same background into the job match analyzer, the cover letter builder, and the coach.

Can I build a CV from scratch, or do I need one already?

Either. The resume builder walks you through it section by section if you are starting from nothing. If you already have a CV, upload it and we parse it into the builder so you can edit and re-download rather than retyping it.

Do I need to install anything?

No. JobProfi runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, and phone, and your board is available anywhere you sign in. There is no native iOS or Android app yet.

Can I import jobs from LinkedIn or Indeed?

Not automatically. LinkedIn and the major job boards do not provide an API that lets an outside tool read the jobs you have applied to, so applications are added by hand. It takes about fifteen seconds per role, and it is the reason your board stays accurate rather than half-synced.

What are the stages on the board?

Wishlist, applied, screening, interviewing, offer, rejected, and withdrawn. Wishlist is for roles you are not ready to apply to yet, so you can keep them warm without cluttering your active pipeline.

How do follow-ups work?

Set a follow-up date on any application and it appears in your dashboard as the date approaches. You also get one morning email listing what is due that day, so a follow-up window does not close while you are busy.

Can I store resumes and cover letters against a role?

Yes. Documents attach to the application they belong to, so when a recruiter calls three weeks later you can see the exact version of the CV you sent them.

What do the analytics show?

How many applications you have sent, how many reached interview, and your conversion rate between the two. It is the number that tells you whether the problem is your resume or your volume.

How does the job match analyzer work?

Paste a job description and pick one of your resumes. You get a match score, the skills the posting wants that your resume does not show, and the ATS keywords worth adding. It scores the CV you actually have, not an idealised one.

Do you offer cold email writing?

Yes, cold email writing is included. You write a rough note in your own words — bullet points are fine — and it is tightened into a short cold email with a suggested subject line. It keeps your phrasing rather than replacing it, because an email that reads as AI-written gets deleted. Use it when there is no posting to apply to.

Are the AI cover letters any good?

They are drafts built from your real resume and the specific posting, in a professional, enthusiastic, or formal tone. Most people edit a line or two before sending, which is the point: you start from something real instead of a blank page.

What is the difference between tailoring and reviewing a resume?

Tailoring rewrites an existing resume against one specific posting. Reviewing goes through the resume you already have and flags weak phrasing and claims with no evidence behind them. Tailor when you are applying; review when you are fixing.

What does the AI career coach actually know?

Your pipeline. It reads how many applications you have sent, how many reached interview, and what is in your profile, then answers from that. If you have sent forty applications and landed one interview, it opens with that rather than generic advice.

How does interview prep work?

A bank of real interview questions covering the most-asked ones, behavioural questions, role-specific questions, and the deliberately awkward ones. You write and save your answer to each, so you build a script you can revise instead of improvising on the day.

What is included in the free plan?

Unlimited application tracking and the Kanban board, the career profile, the wishlist, follow-up reminders, the interview scheduler, the full interview question bank, and basic analytics. The AI tools come with a starter allowance so you can try each one before deciding.

What does Premium add?

It removes the limits on the AI tools: unlimited cover letters, cold outreach emails, job match analyses, resume tailoring and reviews, career coaching, and resume downloads. Everything else is already in the free plan.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings whenever you like. There are no cancellation fees, and you keep access until the end of your billing period.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cards through Paystack and Flutterwave, which together cover most local and international payment methods.

Who can see my applications?

Only you. Your board, resumes, notes, and coach conversations are private to your account. We do not show them to employers or other users, and we do not sell your information to recruiters.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. Deleting your account from settings removes your personal data from our systems. A full one-click export of your applications is not built yet, so if you want a copy of everything before you go, contact us and we will send it.

Do the AI features send my data anywhere?

The text you submit to an AI feature, such as a job description or the resume being scored, is sent to our AI provider to generate that response. It is not used to train models, and your board and documents are not shared beyond what a given request needs.

Will my resume pass an ATS?

Our resumes use clean, parseable structure and we show you keyword gaps against a posting. No tool can guarantee a particular system accepts a CV, so we report a compatibility indicator rather than a promise.
